Greetings to all participants attending XIAMUN X!
I am honored to serve as one of the Directors of XIAMUN at Xiamen International School where I am continually inspired by the energy and global-mindedness of our students.
Our conference theme, One Shot, is a powerful reminder of the critical moment we are living in and the urgent issues this generation must face head-on. It is a privilege to support our dedicated secretariat team as they lead this year’s conference, encouraging all participants to engage thoughtfully with the global challenges before us.
Please feel free to reach out to me at carlyswisher@xischina.com.cn if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to meeting you all.
Wishing you an exciting and meaningful conference!
Director
Fiona Lv

Greetings to all participants attending XIAMUN X!
This is Miss Fiona Lv from Xiamen International School. Currently, I am an EAL teacher, teaching students from Grade 6 through Grade 11. I hold a Master’s degree in International Teaching from Framingham State University, with a strong background in cross-cultural education and language acquisition. As Head of the EAL Department and an EAL teacher, I support students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds in building confidence in public speaking and academic writing. I create inclusive learning environments that enable all students to participate fully and collaborate effectively.
I am committed to empowering students as global citizens. In my MUN role, I will guide delegates to express their ideas clearly, engage respectfully with different perspectives, and develop critical thinking and diplomatic skills.
Secretary-General
Rexx Chua

Greetings to all participants attending XIAMUN X!
My name is Rexx Chua, a senior in Xiamen International School, and it is my honor to serve you as the Secretary General for the 10th Xiamen Model United Nations. I started my MUN journey during my sophomore year. Then, as I continued to improve, I witnessed some delegates with outstanding diplomatic skills in those top MUN conferences. I have not only practiced critical thinking and communication skills through this process but have also learned how to accept my weaknesses and pursue an improved self amidst current challenges. This month marks my 6th MUN conference, and I’m excited to witness fruitful debates and well-crafted resolutions in this XIAMUN. Model United Nations means much more than simple simulation. It builds a highly competitive environment where one can embrace the identity of a global citizen, strengthen individual mindsets, and navigate various challenges. Everything starts from writing the first word of your resolution and speaking your first sentence in front of the stage. Be confident and fear no challenges. The MUN journey is all about self-improvement and tackling setbacks. In the end, you may find unexpected gains and personal growth. I am looking forward to seeing you all at the XIAMUN X conference, and I hope you will have a memorable experience.
Deputy Secretary-General
Deputy Secretary-General
Doria Li

Greetings to all participants attending XIAMUN X!
I’m Doria, a junior from Xiamen International School. This year’s XIAMUN marks my 12th MUN conference and my 7th year participating in MUN. MUN has always been a fun and rewarding experience for me. As the Deputy Secretary-General, I will put forth my best effort to make XIAMUN X a memorable experience for everyone!
Heads of Admin
Jasmine Wong

Greetings to all participants attending XIAMUN X!
My name is Jasmine Wong, and I am studying at Xiamen International School in grade 11. I am honored to be one of the three Heads of Admin for this conference. Although I do not have much experience with MUN conferences, I am passionate about the event itself and would love to participate. Furthermore, I see this event as a great opportunity to enhance my public speaking and organizational skills. I would like to utilize my abilities to contribute to the creation of a collaborative environment where participants can enjoy fruitful debates and discussions. We are honored to have you join us, and we look forward to meeting all of you!

Drishya Prasad
Greetings to all participants attending XIAMUN X!
My name is Drishya Prasad and I’m a freshman in Xiamen International School! I’m the head of admin and I have done 4 Conferences so far and this would be my 5th. I’m in the secretariat team to gain some new experience, to try out something new out of my comfort zone! This would be my first time on the secretariat team and I’m excited on how XIAMUN X would turn out.
MUN is a place where you can talk about your inner knowledge, gain new knowledge. When I stepped in my first MUN conference I was nervous of speaking and to share my ideas towards other delegates, but as time flew I understood many things and started being calmer. I may feel nervous still but I know that each conference I will learn something new!
And again, welcome to XIAMUN X making this an unforgettable experience!

Jana Chen
Greetings to all participants attending XIAMUN X!
I’m a freshman in XIS, and ever since my first MUN in 7th grade, I’ve found the idea of debating about politics among the best ways to spend my weekend times, instead of doing homework. This time will be my 6th conference, and I joined the secretariat team to see what contributions I can bring to XIAMUN, just like you, the delegate, bringing ideas to a committee!
If you’re new, please don’t be scared! This is also my first MUN (as a student officer), and I still remember what it’s like to stutter and suffer in a conference. It seems scary, but trust me, in the future, you WILL be smiling back at all those memories you’ve made! If XIAMUN X is your first conference, I am happy to be a part its memory.
Assuming you’re reading this from the website, I helped make the page you’re on right now! It’s my first time doing web design so if you have any feedback you can tell me at the conference (I’ll be nice, I promise!)
See you soon!

Greetings to all participants attending XIAMUN X!
I am Amy Shin, the director general for XIAMUN X. XIAMUN X will deal with international issues in diverse areas.
With the world’s powers shifting and international relations changing day-to-day, knowing the world is important for everyone, even the young people like us.
In that sense, MUN is a great chance to deepen our insights in real-life affairs.
I hope XIAMUN can be a venue of new experiences and new opportunities. I look forward to seeing you all at the conference.

Derek Ding
Greetings to all participants attending XIAMUN X!
Hi all. My name is Derek Ding, currently a sophomore at UWCCSC; however, I have dedicated most of my life to Xiamen International School. It is truly an honor to have been given the opportunity to serve as your Co-Director General for this year’s XIAMUN conference. This is the 10th instalment of XIAMUN—XIAMUN X—the second post-COVID conference. The theme of “One Shot” is inspired by the motif of “my shot” in Hamilton, where Alexander Hamilton often sees himself only having one chance to make a decision. MUN is a chance for unique individuals of diverse interests to come together and formulate world-saving resolutions; XIAMUN is no different. I hope that each and every delegate participating in XIAMUN X will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience, having a voice in the crafting of our future.
